From 25 to 31 August 2025, Montalto Uffugo will host the 23rd edition of the Ruggiero Leoncavallo International Opera Festival, an event that pays tribute to the famous Calabrian composer with a week of events featuring music, art and beauty.
The 2025 edition offers an itinerant format that blends history and territory, providing an immersive experience that combines tradition and innovation. The programme includes unmissable events:
- 25 August: inauguration with the White Sensation – Stardust concert and the I Borghi di Ruggiero project.
- 26 August: performance of the opera Pagliacci in the picturesque churchyard of the Duomo Madonna della Serra.
- 27 August: evening event The magic of Leoncavallo in the heart of the stars, combining fashion and opera, hosted by Emanuella Foliero.
- 31 August: grand finale with the show The most beautiful opera arias – Little Ruggiero tells his story.
Alongside these events, the Cloister of San Domenico will be transformed into an open-air stage, hosting events and concerts that will pay tribute to the Maestro. Throughout the festival, it will be possible to visit the “Ruggiero Leoncavallo” Museum and the Montaltina Violin Workshop.
