The Rosarno Film Festival - Fuori dal Ghetto returns for its third edition from 15 November to 16 December 2024, extending beyond the borders of Calabria to involve five Calabrian municipalities and eight other Italian cities. A unique project that focuses on the themes of immigration, human rights and social inclusion, involving 17 associations and a rich programme of screenings, concerts and book presentations.

The event will kick off on 15 November in Palmi with a concert performance by the Duo De André at the Nicola Antonio Monfroce Theatre. Among the most eagerly awaited events, on 16 November in Cinquefrondi the screening of the film Io Capitano by Matteo Garrone in the presence of the leading actor Mamadou Kouassi, and on 22 November at the Rosarno Auditorium with Anywhere Anytime by Milad Tangshir.

A central moment of the festival will be the day of 23 November in Rosarno, with the screening of the short films in competition judged by students and labourers. On the same evening, in San Ferdinando, ‘Campagne Aperte’ will propose an African dinner accompanied by a concert by the Moussa Ndao Ensemble.

On a national level, the programme will extend to other Italian cities. Appointments include 20 November in Camini (RC) with the screening of the film La bicicletta di Bartali, and 6 December in Marigliano (NA) with the presentation of books by Sara Manisera and Ibrahim Diabate.
