Rocca Estate 2023

The events organised for "Rocca Estate 2023" stem from an ambitious idea that the municipality of Rocca di Neto, in collaboration with the Pro Loco Neaithos Aps - Ets, intends to organise during the summer season. The municipality and the Pro Loco aim to organise events that combine the citizens' desire to get together with that of highlighting typical local products, with the dual objective of reviving the municipality's sociability and rediscovering the customs and traditions that underpin the roots of a territory.

The "Lirica Sotto le Stelle" event will be held on 5 August in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, conducted by maestro Damiano Morise: a very captivating programme of opera arias, romances, melodies, and famous instrumental pieces. In addition to maestro Morise, there will be three other Calabrian artists, soprano Teresa Cardace and tenors Ignacio Prieto and Francesco Toscano.

The event "Val di Neto between music and flavours" will take place in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II on 8 August. It will begin with the tasting and consumption of typical products, such as cavatelli alla rocchitana, watermelon - which has always been a product of excellence in the municipality and is one of the country's major agricultural resources - crespelle, local wines, cheeses and stands from the various farms in the municipality. Everything will be enlivened by the overwhelming notes of Calabrian musician Davis Muccari, an artist and virtuoso; finally, the evening will end with a moment dedicated above all to young people, with the music of DJ Giovanni Salerno, a young man from Rocca who has made a name for himself throughout the Crotone area and beyond, thanks to his passion for music.
