From 1 to 3 August 2025, Roccella Ionica will light up the summer nights with the fifth edition of the Rocca Blues Festival – Senza Confini, a free event dedicated to blues music and its influences.
In the picturesque setting of Largo Colonne Rita Levi Montalcini, the festival offers three evenings of live concerts, talks, DJ sets and local flavours, in a warm and engaging atmosphere that combines music, culture and conviviality. The programme is designed to embrace different shades of blues, welcoming established artists and original projects:
Friday 1 August – 10 p.m.
Fulvio Tomaino Band opens the festival with a live performance full of energy and soul-blues sounds.
Saturday 2 August – 10 p.m.
It is the turn of Lovesick, with their unmistakable sound combining tradition and modernity.
Sunday 3 August
9.30 p.m. – The trio Claudio Cojaniz, Alessandro Turchet and Luca Colussi present their album Cracking, dedicated to Toni La Palerma and Maurizio Cursaro.
10.30 p.m. – Mick Brill & Blue Art, for a performance that combines technique, passion and groove.
Every evening, DJ Set by Tony L. will complete the atmosphere. During the festival, Gianfranco Piria will accompany the audience on a journey into the boundless art of blues. There will also be a large food area with local culinary specialities, where you can savour the best of Calabrian gastronomic tradition. All events are free of charge.
