In the heart of the medieval village of Stilo, at the foot of Mount Consolino, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the Calabrian summer returns: the Ribusa Palio, one of the most evocative historical re-enactments in southern Italy.
From 1 to 3 August 2025, the ancient stones of the historic centre will come to life, rediscovering the splendour of the glorious County of Stilo, in an atmosphere that evokes the centuries in which the famous philosopher Tommaso Campanella lived.
For three days, the town will be transformed into a large open-air stage: duels, historical parades, craft markets, musicians, actors, falconers, artisans and extras in period costumes will welcome visitors on an immersive journey through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Around 200 international artists will bring a collective narrative to life, where every corner of Stilo tells a fragment of history, among inns offering ancient dishes, local wines and traditional desserts.
