From 5 to 7 September 2025, Lagarò Lupinacci, in the municipality of Celico, will host the 24th edition of the Potato Festival, an event that celebrates one of the symbolic products of the Silano plateau.
The gastronomic programme is a true journey through authentic flavours: from the famous 'mpacchiuse potatoes with red Tropea onions to freshly prepared gnocchi, potato skewers and many other recipes that highlight the versatility of this ingredient. To complete the offer, there will be grilled meats, Calabrian Podolica steaks and the traditional sandwich with sausage and caciocavallo cheese. The stands will also offer cheeses, cured meats, preserves and typical desserts, showcasing the richness of this excellent agricultural area.
On 5 September at 6 p.m., there will be a round table discussion on water, dedicated to sustainable development and the natural resources of the plateau. Every evening, from 9 p.m., there will be music with concerts and folk music to make this festival of tradition and conviviality even more evocative.
