Pollicino Book Fest

From 7 to 12 April 2025, Castrovillari turns into the capital of children's literature with the Pollicino Book Fest, an event dedicated to books, stories and imagination. At the foot of the Pollino National Park, authors, illustrators and scientists will give life to a festival designed for children, young people and families, with a programme full of meetings, workshops and shows.

After the success of the first edition, the festival returns with the theme ‘Let's play!’, a journey combining reading, mathematics and science, demonstrating that numbers can be as fascinating as a great story. Among the expected guests: Giuditta Campello, Sergio Olivotti, Alice Coppini, Giuliana Facchini, Beniamino Sidoti, Andrea Vico, Marco Erba, Anna Cerasoli, Andrea Scoppetta and Prof. Francesco Calimeri of the CNR.

For one week, the city will host animated readings, theatrical performances, interactive workshops and meetings with authors, involving schools and families in an immersive and stimulating experience. An unmissable event for those who love the magic of books and want to discover the more surprising side of mathematics and science.
