From 6 to 8 December 2025, the village of Mormanno (CS), nestled in the Pollino National Park, will host Perciavutti, the traditional festival of new wine and Calabrian food and wine, which has become one of the most eagerly awaited events of the winter.
The name Perciavutti refers to the ancient ritual of piercing the barrels to taste the new wine, a symbol of sharing and celebration. During the three days of celebration, the streets of the historic centre come alive with:
- Tastings of new wine from local wineries
- Typical Pollino dishes, including polenta, lagane e ceci (pasta and chickpeas), roasts and traditional desserts
- Craft stalls and Christmas markets
- Folk music, bagpipes, traditional songs and dances
Perciavutti is an experience to be enjoyed with all the senses: the scents, flavours and atmosphere of the village combine with the natural beauty of the area, offering moments of conviviality and memories of Calabrian culture.
