On Friday 24 October 2025, the village of Macchia Albanese (part of the municipality of San Demetrio Corone) will be filled with the scents and flavours of autumn with Oil Stain, an event dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and its deep connection with the history and identity of the area. An event that intertwines tradition, art and conviviality, transforming the streets of the village into a journey of discovery and appreciation of local products.
The day will begin at 6:00 pm with the conference 'Food and Health', an in-depth discussion dedicated to the integration of research, nutrition and agri-food production, scheduled to take place in the square in front of the Parish Church of Santa Maria di Costantinopoli. This will be followed by a poetry competition at the Casa di Girolamo De Rada, celebrating the words and emotions associated with the land and its fruits. From 6:30 pm, food and wine stands will offer tastings of new oil and local specialities, taking visitors on a journey through authentic flavours and ancient knowledge. The evening will continue with live music by Retrorevive, who, from 9 p.m., will bring back the Italian atmosphere of the 70s, 80s and 90s, giving the village a festive closing with rhythm and joy.
