Oblatio Mundi – Jubilee of Artists

The Marca – Museum of Arts in Catanzaro is hosting Oblatio Mundi – Artists' Jubilee, a major exhibition of contemporary sacred art promoted by the Banca Montepaone Foundation and the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Catanzaro-Squillace. The project combines faith, creativity and local heritage during the Jubilee, interpreting the artist as a pilgrim in search of truth.

The exhibition, which will open on 19 December, is one of the first collective projects inspired by St Francis' Canticle of the Creatures, which celebrates its eighth centenary this year. The 40 selected artists tackle this theme through different languages and techniques, offering a contemporary and personal vision of one of the most evocative spiritual texts of the Franciscan tradition. The protagonists include nationally and internationally recognised names, together with significant voices from the Calabrian scene.
