MusicAma Calabria | Vico dei Miracoli

To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the publication of “Principles of New Science” , AMA Calabria presents Vico dei Miracoli, an original theatrical project written by Marcello Veneziani that brings to life the life and thought of Giambattista Vico, one of the most influential Italian philosophers of the modern age. The event will be held in the foyer of the Grandinetti Municipal Theater in Lamezia Terme on November 30 at 6:00 p.m., as part of the program of the 48th MusicAMA Calabria Festival.

The show follows the life of the famous philosopher through the streets of Naples in the 18th century, the insights that founded a new way of reading history, and the difficult recognition of a thinker who was often misunderstood but extraordinarily relevant. The narration is given voice by actor Luca Violini, accompanied on the piano by Francesco Nicolosi, in a continuous dialogue between words and music. The show guides the audience through biographical episodes, reflections, works, and visions, offering an engaging journey that restores the human and intellectual strength of one of the greatest protagonists of the Age of Enlightenment.
