On Friday 10 October 2025, the Rendano Theatre in Cosenza will host the final of the sixteenth edition of Music for Change, the music award dedicated to civil and social issues, organised by the Musica contro le mafie Association. Admission is free.
The day will feature the six finalists, selected from nearly 900 candidates, who will perform songs related to seven themes inspired by the UN's 2030 Agenda: Resistance and Democracy, Environment and Ecology, Digital Citizenship and Cyber-Risk, Gender Equality and LGBTQ+ Rights, Work and Dignity, Migration and Peoples, Inequality and Social Marginalisation.
The event will be hosted by Elasi, artist and producer, while the Artist Decider jury will be composed of Avincola, Giorgieness and Roberta Giallo, three performers from the new Italian music scene.
During the evening, the Music for Change Special Award will be presented to Paola Iezzi, icon of Italian pop and voice of civil commitment, in recognition of her artistic and social career in support of civil rights and individual freedom.
The finalists of the 2025 competition are:
- LA NOCE with 'Lucy' (Gender Equality and LGBTQ+ Rights)
- ROSSANA DE PACE with 'Pelle d'oca' (Migration and Peoples)
- DIMAGGIO with 'Polemicə' (Resistance and Democracy)
- GIULIA LEONE with 'Il Mondo prende fuoco' (The World is on Fire) (Environment and Ecology)
- ALICE CARONNA with 'Non c'è Tempo' (There is no Time) (Work and Dignity)
- NO DADA with 'CTRL+C' (Digital Citizenship and Cyber Risk)
