From 7 to 11 August 2025, the village of Melicuccà, in the province of Reggio Calabria, will host the latest edition of the Lorenzo Calogero Poetry Festival, a heartfelt and collective tribute to the great Calabrian poet, one of the most profound and visionary voices of the 20th century.
The official announcement was made during the presentation of Calogero's anthology of selected poems, held in the institutional area of the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria. It's a chance to renew the link between the area and the work of the poet, who was born in Melicuccà and whose verses captured the complexity of the human soul and the mysterious power of his land.
The Poetry Festival will take place over five days dedicated to public readings, meetings with authors, artistic performances, literary walks and moments of reflection, designed to promote the word as a tool for dialogue, freedom and beauty.
