Locri Carnival

On 1 March 2025, Locri will be transformed into an explosion of colour and joy with the second edition of the Gran Carnevale Locrese, an unmissable event that will animate Piazza dei Martiri with shows, parades and tastings.

The day will begin at 10 am with the Grand Festa in Maschera, a moment dedicated to children and families with inflatables, magic shows and entertainment. Then, at 11:00 am, space for creativity with Carnevale da Star, a parade open to adults and children to celebrate the fantasy of the most original costumes. At midday, local flavours will be protagonists with the Maxi Crostata, prepared by local bars with typical ingredients and the support of the students of the Istituto Alberghiero. In the afternoon, at 5.30 p.m., dance will take the stage with performances by the Galea Dance School, followed by the Carnival da Star - Adult Edition at 6 p.m., a challenge to the last detail between the most creative masks. Grand finale at 7 p.m. with a chat in the square with Santo Palumbo, the cabaret artist who will provide laughter and good humour to end this day of celebration in style.
