On 15 and 16 February 2026, Locri will be transformed into an explosion of colour and joy with the second edition of the Gran Carnevale Locrese, an unmissable event that will animate Piazza dei Martiri with shows, parades and tastings.
The event takes place over the course of two days. During this time, Piazza dei Martiri is transformed into an open-air festival space designed to engage audiences of all ages. The program alternates between events for families and children with entertainment and recreational activities and initiatives that highlight participants' creativity through costume parades and artistic performances.
The event also features music, folk traditions, and gastronomic offerings thanks to street food and tastings showcasing local flavors. Floats, shows, and entertainment contribute to the lively, participatory atmosphere, providing an opportunity for the local community and visitors to meet and share during Carnival.
