Let's meet history | Archaeological Park of Presinace di Nocara

A whole day dedicated to public archaeology, including exhibitions, experiential workshops and guided tours to discover the historical and cultural heritage of the Nocara area.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., the “Epeo” Museum opens its doors with an exhibition dedicated to the archaeological parks of Sibaritide, accompanied by experiential workshops on archeotypes, which will allow visitors of all ages to try their hand at coroplastics, ceramics, and numismatics, exploring ancient techniques and materials through a direct and engaging approach.

At 7:00 p.m., there will be a seminar entitled “Epeo di Lagaria, builder of the Trojan Horse” , followed by a debate on the theme “The Epeo Museum of Nocara: a project for enhancement”, dedicated to the cultural and tourist prospects of the museum site and the role of historical research in promoting the territory.

The day will end at 8:00 p.m. with a theatrical living history performance titled “Epeo di Lagaria and the Trojan Horse” , which will bring to the stage an evocative narrative inspired by myth, restoring life and voice to one of the most fascinating figures of antiquity.
