"La Tropea Experience" is the official celebration of the sweetest and most famous onion in the world.
The 2022 edition will be held on 29 and 30 April and 1th May. It is one of the opening events for the Tropean summer season. A show case for Calabrian excellence. During the Tropea Cipolla Party, the best bars and restaurants will open their doors to serve samples of signature dishes combined with special cocktails.
International chefs and bartenders will bombard those present with the preparation of dishes and cocktails whose main ingredient is the Tropea onion. The village's wonderful old town centre will be transformed into a food and wine paradise where some of the greatest artisans of taste (star chefs, pizza makers, bakers, pastry chefs, chocolatiers, oenologists, bartenders and mixologists) will all meet together and where there will be an opportunity to satisfy every curiosity about Calabrian cuisine. All accompanied by music.
