La Tropea Experience is the official celebration of the IGP Red Onion of Tropea, the sweetest and most famous onion in the world.
It is one of the opening events of the summer season in Tropea, the "Pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea" along the Costa degli Dei in the province of Vibo Valentia.
La Tropea Experience, a showcase of Calabrian excellence, also includes a Tropea Onion Party involving the best bars and restaurants in tasting signature dishes paired with special cocktails.
International chefs and bartenders will delight visitors with the preparation of dishes and drinks based on Tropea Onion. The marvellous historical centre, among The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, will be transformed for the occasion into a food and wine paradise enlivened by music.
