On Saturday 29 November 2025, Taverna will host Knowledge and Flavours, an immersive experience combining art, history and gastronomy in the picturesque Alli Valley.
The day will begin at 1:00 pm with a cooking workshop dedicated to the preparation of typical local dishes. At the end of the workshop, at 1:30 p.m., there will be a convivial lunch featuring the dishes prepared by the participants, accompanied by platters of locally sourced cold cuts and cheeses, local wine and Amaro Eremita.
In the afternoon, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., participants will have the opportunity to discover the artistic treasures of Taverna, birthplace of the brothers Mattia and Gregorio Preti. The cultural tour includes a visit to the Civic Museum, the Mattia Preti eXperience Digital Museum and the churches in the historic centre, where important paintings and frescoes by 17th-century masters are preserved, guided by an art historian or a qualified guide.
