Kerasion Literary Prize
The Kerasion Literary Prize returns to the charming streets of the mountain village of San Pietro Apostolo

Prizes and Competitions
The Kerasion Literary Prize returns to the charming streets of the mountain village of San Pietro Apostolo, a prestigious event dedicated to fiction, non-fiction and poetry. The event is part of the cultural festival "Readings in the Village", designed to promote local history, traditions and beauty through the power of the written word.
The prize, whose name means 'cherry' in Greek in homage to the fruit typical of the area, is aimed at works published in Italian, distinguished by their focus on highly topical social issues. In addition to the three main sections, the competition includes special awards, such as the Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa Prize for works that promote anti-Mafia culture and the Kerasion Prize in memory of..., dedicated to personalities who have left their mark on culture and art.
The winners receive an elegant bas-relief depicting a glimpse of St. Peter the Apostle with a stylised bunch of cherries, a symbol of local identity.
Over the years, the Kerasion Prize has grown to become a national benchmark, attracting writers, publishers and personalities from the Italian cultural scene. It is a unique opportunity to experience an authentic village and discover, through literature, the value of roots and openness to the world.
