In the heart of the Greek area, in Bova Marina, where the stones tell ancient stories and the air smells of wild fennel and laurel, a festival celebrating Calabria's most authentic roots is born: the Képhas Festival.
Two days dedicated to taste, music and culture to pay homage to Képhas, the bitter born from a family herbal tea that has become a symbol of identity and memory. A product that encapsulates the knowledge of generations and the flavours of the Calabrian land, created in the Petru i ‘Ntoni farmhouse, for 25 years a presidium of tradition. On Saturday 14 June, from 8 pm, Villa Képhas will host:
- Jenny Caracciolo, a deep-rooted voice from the South
- Carmelo Pansera and the ‘sonu’ of the accordion from Reggio Calabria
- The Targa Képhas award ceremony
- The Senduki with their new album Strania, a journey through ethnic sounds, electronics and tradition
On Sunday 15 June, from 1 p.m. onwards, the experience moves to the scents and flavours of the Petru i ‘Ntoni agriturismo with a typical lunch (reservation required), amidst identity dishes, popular music and spontaneous dances.
