Three evenings of international music in Cortale, inspired by the wind, between myth and jazz

From 2 to 4 August 2025, Cortale will be transformed into a crossroads of sounds, cultures and influences with the 22nd edition of Jazz & Wind, the music festival that has been enlivening the central square of this village in the province of Catanzaro with internationally renowned artists for over twenty years.
Founded in 1998 and never interrupted, Jazz & Wind is now one of the longest-running and most fascinating events on the Calabrian music scene, an event capable of blending the sophistication of jazz with the evocative power of myth and the symbolic force of the wind.
The festival opens on Saturday 2 August at 7 p.m. with the evocative propitiatory ritual to Aeolus, which will be held at the Fondaco Pellegrini - Venuti di Stefano Rugieri. A tribute in music and words to the myth “The Wind and the Strings” by the voice of Pino Vitaliano, who will ideally accompany the entire festival. This will be followed by the first musical set with the Trio M.G.A. The programme continues on Sunday 3 August with two exceptional live performances: Francesco Suppa European Experience and Vincen Garcia Quintet, an international ensemble combining modern jazz and world rhythms. The grand finale will take place on Monday 4 August with: Antonio Onorato Neapolitan Jazz Quartet and Bill Evans & The VansBand All Star, American saxophone legend and absolute star of the world fusion scene.
