Granfondo Trails of Aspromonte

The Granfondo Trails of Aspromonte, one of the main MTB classics not only of Calabria but of all of Central Italy, is scheduled for 23 June 2024. This year, the test of Cittanova (RC) will have a very special value because in addition to concluding the Openspeed circuit that brings together some of the main tests on both sides of the Strait of Messina, will also be Italian Championship Csi Marathon, which should bring in the town of Reggio Calabria many bikers from other regions.

Two routes are planned: the Marathon one measures 53 km for an altitude difference of 1,800 metres and promises to be particularly demanding with significant climbs both in the first part and in the middle of the race. The medium course is 31 km for 1,100 metres. Both routes will start from Piazza Calvario with the start set for 9:00 am.

At the end of the race, in addition to the presentation of awards for the Italian champions and circuit winners, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 overall and category winners, as well as the top 3 companies. Registration is already open at a cost of 25 euros plus 2 euros for chip rental.
