Grand Carnival of Melicucco

The most eagerly awaited event of the year is back in Melicucco: Carnival! Two days of pure merriment among parades, shows and the unmissable Allegorical Funeral.

On Sunday 2 March 2025, starting at 2.30 p.m., Piazza Senatore Romano will be transformed into the beating heart of the festival with the big parade of floats through the streets of the town, accompanied by shows, giants, mascots and entertainment for the little ones. After the parade, the square will host performances by dance schools and many surprises for young and old.

The fun continues on Tuesday 4 March 2025 with an afternoon dedicated to the little ones starting at 3.30 pm. At 7 p.m., the traditional Melicucchese Allegorical Funeral kicks off, with the spectacular Camera Ardente (Burning Chamber) holding surprises and moments of great comedy. At 9.30 p.m., the closing of the Camera Ardente will kick off the historic procession of the Funerale Allegorico, amid irony, tradition and music for an evening that promises to be unforgettable.

The Grand Carnival of Melicucco is an event that combines celebration and tradition, involving the entire community in a unique experience.
