Graecalis | The Disappointed Dream

On 11 August 2025, the San Giovanni Monumental Complex in Catanzaro will host “The Disappointed Dream. America: lost hopes and awareness”, a poetic and musical show that explores the collective imagination linked to America, between idealisation and disenchantment.

Through the verses of poets and the songs of great Italian singer-songwriters, an intense narrative is composed, capable of evoking the utopias and contradictions that America has represented for entire generations. Giving voice and sound to this emotional journey will be Paolo Formoso, a sensitive interpreter of the musical sections, who will lead the audience through evocative atmospheres, profound reflections and moments of intimate suggestion.
