Graecalis | Casta Diva

On 28 July 2025, in the evocative setting of the San Giovanni Monumental Complex in Catanzaro, “Casta Diva – The Life of Maria, the Myth of Callas” will be staged, a theatrical and musical show produced by Graecalis, paying tribute to one of the greatest icons of world opera: Maria Callas.

In a blend of words and music, the figure of Maria Callas comes to life through a dual interpretative register: the intense and passionate narration of Mariarita Albanese and the operatic voice of soprano Barbara Luccini alternate to tell the story of the woman and the artist, the fragility and strength, the silence and the immortal echo of “La Divina”.

Between moments of theatrical poetry and the interpretation of the most famous arias from the repertoire that consecrated Callas as a myth, the show offers an emotional and engaging experience, capable of touching deep chords.
