From the Giants of Sila to the berries of the Pupo Farm

Every Saturday and Sunday in September, enjoy a unique experience in the heart of the Sila: after a guided tour of the Giants of the Sila, take part in the berry harvest at the Pupo Farm.

The Lorenzo Pupo Farm, located a few kilometres from Camigliatello Silano and Lake Cecita, is a historic family-run business now in its fifth generation. Here, Lorenzo Pupo, a young farmer who returned to Calabria after an experience in London, cultivates and processes typical Calabrian products using organic methods, at an altitude of 1,250 metres and far from any source of pollution.

The experience "From the Giants of Sila to the berries of Fattoria Pupo" includes a guided tour of the reserve, followed by the picking of raspberries, blackberries, currants and blueberries (depending on the season) directly from the rows. It is a way to discover the area, learn about its history and take home the fruits picked with your own hands, sharing moments of authentic contact with nature with friends and family.

For those who wish to continue, there is an easy 4 km round trip trail from the farm that leads to Monte Popini, one of the most picturesque viewpoints in the Sila, overlooking Lake Cecita.
