The ‘Perfumes and Flavours from Ruga’ festival has been organised for 9 August 2024. This event aims to celebrate both the inhabitants who have remained in the village and those who have emigrated to all parts of the world.
The festival includes a return to the origins of the cuisine of Caraffa del Bianco, with a wide range of typical products that will be presented in a large buffet. It will be a true eno-gastronomic itinerary to discover the ancient aromas and flavours of traditional Caraffa cuisine. During the event, guided tours will be organised in the ancient village to illustrate the life of the small hamlet and visit the ancient workshops with the tools of the time, guided by the Pro Loco civil service volunteers. In the historic village centre, artists will perform to entertain participants. In addition, a cultural event is planned with the presentation of the book ‘La Vallata La Verde’.
