The picturesque village of Bivongi, in the province of Reggio Calabria, is preparing to host the "DOC Wine Festival", an event dedicated to wine lovers and local traditions. For two days, visitors can stroll through the picturesque streets of the village, exploring wine cellars and food stalls, immersed in the local wine culture.
Programme
16 November
16:00 - Conference start "The Wine Roads, La Bivongi DOC: Wine tourism, territory, heroic and historical vineyards" at Piazzetta Vittorio Emanuele. Greetings from the mayor Grazia Zaffino and talks by experts in the field.
Ore 18:30 - Blessing of the new wine from all local producers.
Hours 19:00 - Opening of the gastronomic stands.
Ore 19:30 - Concert of the group Almafolk for a touch of traditional music.
17 November
Ore 8:45 - Guided trekking to the Marmarico waterfalls, organized by Esperiandanti and Guide of the Serre.
10:00 - "Tour in the vineyard" at the winery Murace Vini.
From 11:00 to 18:30 - Tastings at the Tenuta Diecimani in Stilo.
Ore 17:00 - Cultural meeting "Catojo We’re South" with Massimo Tigani Sava, who will present his book "L'Alberello Enotrio", at Piazzetta Vittorio Emanuele.
A weekend dedicated to wine, culture and nature, where history and flavors meet in a unique atmosphere, celebrating the winemaking heart of Calabria.
