Festival of Bread and Rural Traditions

In the heart of the historic centre of Castrolibero, in Piazza Pandosia, one of the most popular events of the summer returns: the Bread and Rural Traditions Festival, scheduled from 3 to 5 July 2025.

Three evenings dedicated to rediscovering the knowledge of the past, conviviality and promoting the gastronomic and cultural heritage of the area. An invitation to experience the village in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, surrounded by the aromas of the bakery, dancing and live music.

The programme opens on Thursday 3 July with the “Pizza in Piazza” evening, accompanied by the music of the duo Alex and Dani. An opportunity to enjoy the simplicity of one of the symbolic dishes of Italian tradition, prepared on the spot and shared in the square.

On Friday 4 July, there will be a focus on manual skills and traditional knowledge: the bread-making workshop, open to adults and children, will be led by the “Guardians of Rural Tradition”, who will teach participants how to knead dough using ancient and authentic techniques. The evening will continue with the infectious rhythms of DJ Ciccio Adamo's revival, inviting participants to dance under the stars amid memories and a desire to celebrate.

On Saturday 5 July, the grand finale will feature a performance by Nadia Perna's “Passione Danza” school, bringing energy and beauty in motion to the stage. Once again, the event will be accompanied by authentic flavours: pizza, cuddrurieddri and many other specialities prepared with love and local ingredients.
