On Saturday 5 July 2025, the village of Frascineto will open its doors to an extraordinary experience: ‘’Falconers in Nature‘’, an event that blends discovery, emotion and tradition in an exceptional natural setting.
In collaboration with the Artiglio dell'Aquila association, the day will begin at 5 p.m. from Piazza Albania (with recommended arrival 15 minutes earlier). From there, a short walk through the alleys of the village will lead participants towards the pine grove, immersed in the landscapes of the Pollino National Park.
Here, falconers will take the public on a real journey through time, to discover the ancient art of falconry, recognised as a UNESCO Intangible World Heritage Site.
It will be possible to closely observe magnificent birds of prey such as:
- The Steppe Eagle
- Harris's Buzzards
- The Sacred Falcon
- The Eagle Owl
- The Barn Owl
To close the day, a pleasant convivial moment with an aperitif and tasting of typical local products, in a suggestive and relaxing environment.
