Elmo Prize

The Elmo Prize awaits you on 30 July 2024, in Rizziconi (RC), to pay homage, as it does every year, to the excellences of the Calabrian and national artistic and cultural scene.

What is the Elmo Prize and why is it called that?

Now in its 12th edition, the Elmo Award brings to Piazza San Teodoro, in Rizziconi, the protagonists of the cultural and artistic world who have distinguished themselves on a national level, bringing prestige to Calabria. The initiative, organised by the Associazione Piazza Dalì and directed by its president Giammarco Pulimeni, with art director and jury president Roberto Sottile, tells stories of "ordinary culture", awarding them with the helmet of San Teodoro, patron saint of Rizziconi and symbol of protection and strength.

This year's theme draws inspiration from the weaves of ancient Calabrian looms and the way they create interweavings and relationships between different elements, just as happens in the field of art and culture.
