From 6 to 8 August 2025, Spezzano Piccolo will once again host one of the most eagerly awaited events of the Silane summer: the Cucuzza Festival, now in its 26th edition. An event that celebrates the simple and authentic flavors of rural tradition, with the “cucuzza” – the long pumpkin – as the star of the show, along with zucchini and pumpkin flowers, featured in tasty recipes offered at food stands open every evening from 7 p.m. Three days dedicated to taste, but also to memory, music, and community.

Wednesday, August 6
The event opens at 6:00 p.m. with a performance by the Tamburinari di Spezzano Piccolo, who will kick off the celebrations with traditional local rhythms and sounds. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a ceremony to name a square after Ugo Lamacchia, the unforgettable president and leading figure of the community. In the evening, at 9:00 p.m., it will be time for the little ones with the first edition of the “Zucchino d'Oro” singing contest, a singing competition dedicated to children aged 5 to 11, designed to showcase the talent and spontaneity of the young participants.

Thursday, August 7
At 6:30 p.m., the conference “Presila da Gustare” (Presila to Taste) is scheduled, a meeting dedicated to promoting the area through food and wine tourism, in collaboration with the Cardone ETS River Park. Following this, at 7:30 p.m., you can participate in popular games organized by PGS, with fun activities designed to involve both adults and children. The day will end at 9:30 p.m. with a live concert by Gigi and Sabrina, who will liven up the evening with music for all tastes.

Friday, August 8
On Friday afternoon, at 6:30 p.m., there will be a creative workshop for children, organized by volunteers from the Pro Loco Universal Civil Service, with inclusive activities and opportunities for socialization. At 7:30 p.m., there will be a historical reenactment dedicated to two emblematic figures in local history: Pietro Monaco (known as Brutta Cera) and Maria Oliverio (known as Ciccilla). The performance will be staged in collaboration with Andrea Bonanno, Ivana Lindia, and Peppino Curcio. The event will close at 9:30 p.m. with a concert by the Dreamers Music Band, which will take the audience on a musical journey through modern and classical sounds.
