Cirella Island Trophy 2023

It is to lovers of the sea that the Anzianotti turn with the fourth edition of the "Cirella Island Trophy" - 24 and 25 June 2023 -, a competition organised by the Anzianotti Nuoto Master, which this time too will be proud to see athletes from all over Italy competing in the open sea: an opportunity to reinforce the values of healthy sport and hospitality, which in these parts takes on an almost sacred value.

In particular, on Saturday 24, the 4 x 1250 relay will be contested and on Sunday 25, the three-kilometre race will take place on a route from the mainland around the island of Cirella.

The race also has a notable historical value: the same islet, in fact, which in ancient times represented an obstacle for boats, is now considered instead a boast for the Calabrian Tyrrhenian coast, and the strokes of this unique weekend will confirm this. The limestone rocks from which Cirella is formed have given rise to veritable caves, which, together with the typical marine vegetation, make the seabed around the island unique: the scenery offered is therefore one of the best and, paradoxically, this is one of the most important factors for athletes competing in the open sea. If the natural spectacle alone would be enough to convince teams to participate, the Anzianotti don't miss a thing.

Finally, there is a profile not to be underestimated, relating to territorial marketing: one of the aims of the event is to promote the territory through some virtuous local companies in a period of low season (last year Diamante and Cirella recorded a sold-out weekend in the hotels): in fact, each athlete will receive a very rich "race packet" with typical products, created thanks to the many sponsors who support the team.

The aim is to promote naturalistic excellence also through food and wine, and the moment of tasting typical products is, itself, a way of getting to know the area.

Finally, some logistical information: for those who need to stay overnight, the Anzianotti have also thought of conventions with numerous hotels in the area. Isn't all this enough to convince you to participate? Perhaps the prizes will entice you even more, starting with the special prizes: in addition to the classic podium, in fact, special prizes will also be awarded, namely a splendid mountain bike for the first masters athlete, a weekend for the first women masters athlete and a watch for the first overall athlete.
