Cirella Island Trophy

Crystal-clear sea, an extraordinary location for unspoilt landscapes and scenery, and excellent organisation, Sunday 23 June 2024 the competition for Agonists, Masters, and FISDIR athletes. The assault on the Island of Cirella organised by Anzianotti Nuoto Master in collaboration with FIN Calabria is certainly one of the most beautiful Open Water Swimming competitions of the season.

Now in its fifth edition of the swimming competition valid for the FIN Free Water Circuit and to be held on Sunday 23 June, the facts of previous editions speak for themselves.

Constantly growing numbers and increasingly high participation, the result of the excellent work carried out by the organising machine expertly led by Rosario Caccuri Baffa, president of the Anzianotti sports club.

In past editions of the competition, a demonstration swim was organised during the event for Nemo Cosenza athletes, accompanied by their instructors and volunteers. This year, however, for the first time in Calabria and thanks to the collaboration with FISDIR Calabria and Nemo Cosenza, the race will have the official status of an inter-regional competitive competition, regulated by the Italian Federation of Relational Intellectual Paralympic Sports.

It will be 200 metres of excitement, which will see FISDIR member athletes with disabilities competing for the podium in the first edition of the Isola di Cirella Trophy dedicated to them.

The Isola di Cirella Trophy, an open water swimming competition reserved for master and competitive athletes, will cut the ribbon on its fifth edition this year. The event will be held on Sunday 23 June 2024 in Cirella, the beautiful tourist resort in the municipality of Diamante, in the province of Cosenza.
