Castaniculture Festival

From 24 to 26 October 2025, the village of Fagnano Castello will be transformed into the heart of Calabrian autumn with the 40th edition of the Chestnut Festival. The festival will have a special preview on 18 October in the hamlet of San Lauro, with a pre-festival dedicated to chestnuts and local traditions.

Three days entirely dedicated to taste, culture and entertainment. Visitors will be able to enjoy roasted chestnuts, desserts and chestnut-based dishes, while also discovering other gastronomic delights of Calabria. The streets of the village will host exhibitions of local crafts and themed exhibitions, while the museums will offer a glimpse into the history of chestnuts and rural civilisation.

There will also be folk music, street performances and activities for children, designed to make the festival an engaging experience for the whole family.
