Carnival in Vibo Valentia

On Thursday, February 19, Vibo Valentia will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Carnival with an event that will transform the city center into a space for celebration, participation, and entertainment. Scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Piazza Martiri d'Ungheria, the event marks the beginning of a day dedicated to Carnival traditions and collective sharing.

This special anniversary edition features a diverse program of music, entertainment, and fun activities for all ages. Throughout the afternoon, there will be musical performances, shows, and Carnival-related initiatives, featuring artists, entertainers, and DJs. The event will also feature a costume contest with prizes for the most original and creative costumes.

Particular attention is paid to the participation of young people. Children from the city's preschools and elementary schools will participate in a fairy-tale-themed parade through the city center. They will wear costumes inspired by fairy-tale characters, which will help create a festive and colorful atmosphere.
