On Monday 1 September 2025, at 9 p.m., the Court of Palazzo di Città in Locri will host 'Carmen and Bolero', a performance by Luigi Martelletta's Almatanz Company, former Principal Dancer of the Rome Opera.
The ballet, with music by Bizet and Ravel, offers an original interpretation of the famous opera, starting from the final scene and retracing the story backwards. Amidst jealousy, love, blood and death, the audience will be taken on an intense and exciting journey that reveals new aspects of the characters and an unprecedented vision of Carmen. The performance features the vocals of Francesco Branchetti and choreography by Luigi Martelletta, promising an evening in which dance, music and storytelling come together in an engaging and refined experience.
