Bria Fest 2025, the festival created and promoted by BRIA – Byzantine Route to celebrate European Heritage Days with a packed schedule of guided tours, cultural events and special activities, is back with a new and eagerly awaited edition.

On Sunday 28 September 2025 at 5 p.m., Ruffo Castle in Scilla will host the meeting 'The Byzantine Presence between Scilla and Bagnara', an opportunity to explore the Byzantine traces in the area, including history, art and culture. The event will offer an overview of the historical and religious routes of the area, accompanying participants on a journey through ancient memories and local cultural initiatives.

After the institutional greetings by Scarano Domenico, Councillor for Tourism of the Municipality of Scilla, and Vita Antonino, Delegate for Culture of the Municipality of Scilla, the following speakers will take the floor:

  • Giuseppe Palermo, President of the Costa Viola Association
  • Mariangela Monaca, Full Professor of History of Religions, DICAM and Secretary of BRIA - 'The Byzantine Route'
  • Margherita Tromba, Teacher at T. Gulli State High School - 'The Byzantines in Scilla'

The meeting will be moderated by journalist Vincenzo Tromba.
