On February 15, 2026, the town of Borgia, in the province of Catanzaro, will host the second edition of the Borgia Carnival, an event organized by the local Pro Loco association that is part of Calabria's calendar of carnival celebrations.
The event includes a masked parade open to groups of all ages. Registration is currently open and will close on February 10, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. Each participating group will be assigned an identification number for the parade.
The event features two competition categories: most original theme and largest group. For the “Largest Group” category, all members must be in costume. Interested groups are free to choose the theme of their performance, encouraging creativity and a spirit of collective participation.
The Borgese Carnival is a community gathering and an opportunity for visitors to discover Calabrian carnival traditions in an authentic, participatory setting.
