New energy for communities and territories in Calabria

On 26 November 2025, at 4.30 p.m., the former Convent of the Minims in Roccella Ionica will host Borghi Calabria Shipyard, a meeting dedicated to the future of villages and the creation of a network of experiences and good practices for the enhancement of local areas.
The event is part of the NEXT – New Energy for Territories project, which promotes innovation, cooperation and the regeneration of local communities. It will be an afternoon of discussion on key issues such as community marketing, destination sustainability, digital storytelling of places and authentic tourist experiences.
Speakers will include Giovanni Calabrese, Regional Councillor for Tourism, Vittorio Zito, Mayor of Roccella Jonica, and Maurizio Baggetta, President of the Jonica Holidays Consortium, together with experts and representatives of virtuous organisations such as Gerace Sogno Normanno, Feel Aspromonte and the Perrone Oil Museum.
The meeting concluded with a networking and tasting event in collaboration with Cantina Feudo Gagliardi and FISAR Reggio Calabria.
