On 27 and 28 September 2025, Mormanno is preparing to host the 13th edition of the Bocconotto Festival, an event that celebrates one of the most representative desserts of the Calabrian tradition. For two days, the village will be a great laboratory of flavours, encounters and culture, dedicated to the famous Bocconotto of Mormanno, recognised with the Municipal Designation of Origin (De.Co.).
The programme includes guided tastings, educational workshops entitled 'Con le mani in pasta' (Hands in the dough) to learn how to make the dessert, musical and folkloric performances that will enliven the squares of the historic centre, and the presentation of the eagerly awaited Giant Bocconotto, ready to break new records. There will also be pairings with typical wines and liqueurs and a meeting with the International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate to discover the new confectionery products for 2025-2026.
