From March 1 to 8, 2026, Cosenza will host "Oltre il Muro del Silenzio" (Beyond the Wall of Silence), an urban art intervention promoted as part of the Urbana Gulìa project. The event is scheduled to take place in Via degli Stadi. The project aims to transform public spaces into places for dialogue and awareness about gender-based violence.
Created by the artist Mandioh, the mural is part of the cultural regeneration process that characterizes Gulìa Urbana's initiatives. It translates a collective reflection on respect, listening, and responsibility into a visual language. The wall becomes a narrative surface capable of stimulating attention and discussion through the immediacy of contemporary art.
The project is carried out in collaboration with the Roberta Lanzino Anti-Violence Center in Cosenza. This organization is committed to supporting and protecting women who are victims of violence. This collaboration strengthens the link between artistic intervention and social commitment. "Beyond the Wall of Silence" is intended to be a visible sign in the urban space and an invitation to not remain indifferent, recognizing art's role as a tool for raising awareness and encouraging civic participation.
