It is one of the oldest and best-loved events in the Vibonese area: the Beans Festival returns on 6 August 2025 in Carìa di Drapia to celebrate the roots, flavours and traditions of this culturally rich village.
The undisputed protagonist is sujaca, the Carìa bean cultivated for centuries on the hills of Monte Poro. Slowly cooked in terracotta pots according to an ancient recipe, sujaca is the result of peasant wisdom that has been handed down from generation to generation.
During the evening, you can savour it in many typical recipes, discover the gastronomic specialities of the village families, buy handicraft products, and let yourself be swept away by the music, dancing and shows that enliven the streets of Carìa.
