The Badia Market returns to Bivongi for its 30th edition

On 17 and 18 August 2025, the charming village of Bivongi, in the province of Reggio Calabria, will host the 30th edition of the Mercato della Badia, an event that has been celebrating Calabrian craftsmanship, food and wine, and traditional culture for three decades.
The event will begin on Saturday, August 17, at 6:30 p.m. with the opening of the craft and food and wine stands. During the evening, there will be a variety of activities: entertainment for children in Piazza del Popolo with inflatables and animation, performances by street artists with stilt walkers and fire shows, and performances by traveling bands. The day will end with the Fiesta Loca in Piazza Duomo.
On Sunday, August 18, the program will resume in the afternoon at 4:00 p.m. with the opening of the themed workshops, followed by the opening of the stands at 6:00 p.m. The evening will once again offer entertainment for families, traveling shows, and live music, culminating in the grand finale show at midnight in Piazza del Popolo. Special attention is given to the Sunday workshops, which offer a rich array of experiences from culinary traditions to artisanal creativity, involving adults and children in educational and creative activities that highlight the ancient knowledge of the Calabrian territory.
The event is a unique opportunity to discover local crafts, taste typical Calabrian products, and enjoy a weekend of popular culture and local traditions.
