On 2 October 2025, the Concert Hall of Palazzo De Nobili in Catanzaro will host the national premiere of Tea Time – Dancing with Jane (Austen), an event designed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great English writer. An elegant and refined tribute that intertwines music, literature and emotions, restoring the timeless charm of her works.

The concert will take the audience on a musical journey from the 17th to the 19th century, from court dances to the first bourgeois waltzes, with music by Praetorius, Arbeau, Playford, Purcell, Mozart and Beethoven. The music will be accompanied by readings of letters and dance scenes from Jane Austen's novels, reviving the atmosphere of her most beloved stories. The experience will be made even more evocative by the ritual of tea, an essential symbol of British tradition, which will provide a convivial moment of sharing.

Performing on stage will be Maria Maddalena Scagnelli (violin and vocals), Daorsa Dervishi (wooden transverse flute and transverse flute), Silvia Sesenna (piano) and Dario Landi (lute and bagpipes), creating a refined interweaving of sounds and atmospheres.
