Autumn Festival | Love Denied - Lyrical Gala

In a programme dedicated to love, opera arias and arias dedicated to the deepest human feeling could not be missing. Here, then, is a duo of very young Calabrian talents, not even thirty years old, mezzo soprano Laura Screnci and pianist Tusha Ilaria Silipo, who will accompany the Autumn Festival audience through the various eras, proposing those composers who have dedicated their works to love.

There will be space for Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice", Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro", as well as Rossini's "La Cenerentola", Bellini's "I Capuleti e i Montecchi" and Bizet's "Carmen". Satie's "Je te veux" and Tosti's "Non t'amo più" will also be among the pieces on offer. Laura Screnci, who graduated in opera singing from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Nocera Terinese, is a versatile singer who divides her time between opera and light singing, especially musicals. Alongside concerts with the Santissima Trinità Polyphonic Choir of Catanzaro, she has participated in various roles in opera productions at the Politeama Theatre, collaborating with the Sicilian Opera Choir and has won numerous awards. Tusha Ilaria Silipo, graduated from the Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples, and has undertaken an intense concert activity also on the national territory, participating in various competitions, and winning prestigious awards such as at the Note sul mare and Friends of Music international competitions.

The Lyrical Gala will take place on 21 September 2023 at the Chiostro di San Giovanni in Catanzaro.
