Art Gardens

On Saturday 31 May 2025, the appointment with Art Gardens returns to Catanzaro, the artistic review that combines creativity, civil commitment and urban regeneration. Now in its fourth edition, the initiative will take place at the ‘’Lea Garofalo‘’ Gardens, an area below the San Leonardo Gardens, one of the city's symbolic places of sociality and a meeting space for the new generations.

This year's theme, ‘’Open Sky‘’, gives its name to a real permanent museum, the result of the collaboration between artists, Calabrian writers, secondary school students and the organising associations. A project that turns public art into a tool for urban and social transformation, where murals, street art interventions, installations and sports activities become part of a collective process of care and enhancement of the territory.

Art Gardens is much more than an event: it is an open-air workshop promoting inclusion, sustainability, culture and participation. An opportunity to rediscover urban spaces and local identities through beauty and the direct involvement of the community.

Prominent guests of the 2025 edition will include rapper and writer Kento, a Calabrian artist who has always been committed to social issues, with active collaborations with Amnesty International Italia, SOS Mediterranee and Premio Tenco. Soundtracking the day will be Catanzion, the historic Catanzaro soundtrack that will accompany the public with musical vibrations between roots and contemporaneity.
