Ancient Mileto: between past and future
An initiative dedicated to promoting the archaeological remains of the Norman capital and the fruition of its heritage

Congress-Conference
On Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in front of the evocative ruins of the Abbey of the Holy Trinity, founded by Roger I of Altavilla in Ancient Mileto, the Agreement between the Serre Regional Nature Park Authority and the Medieval Archaeological Park of Ancient Mileto will be presented.
The agreement was created to reinforce the promotion of the archaeological remains of the Norman capital, a MiC cultural site and a fundamental stop on the Norman Path, the historical-naturalistic itinerary created by the Serre Regional Nature Park that crosses 22 villages and connects the two coasts of Calabria along the routes traveled by the Normans.
The project, scheduled for 2025-2030, aims to:
- promote the environmental sustainability of the site, with good practices to be shared throughout the territory;
- actively involve the local community, from the Municipality of Mileto to cultural associations and the National Archaeological Museum;
- make the archaeological heritage a driver of cultural identity, accessible to visitors of all ages.
Don't miss the opportunity to be part of this project and walk in the footsteps of the Normans in the beautiful setting of Ancient Mileto.
