Amaroni Carnival

The Amaronese Carnival is back in Amaroni, an event full of colour, music and tradition, with parades of masks, dancing and tastings of typical sweets.

It starts on Saturday 14 February with the big parade of masks in the afternoon, followed in the evening by a masked ball with tastings of carnival specialities and awards for the most original costumes. Then, on Tuesday 17 February, "Levamu a Carnalevara" will take place. This allegorical and ironic performance parodies a funeral rite to mark the end of the carnival celebrations.
