As part of the 48th MusicAma Calabria Festival, Alessandro Preziosi brings Totò beyond the mask to the stage, a recital dedicated to the genius of Antonio De Curtis. Through letters, interviews, music and poetry, the actor retraces the life and career of one of the greatest protagonists of Italian theatre and cinema, revealing to the audience the most authentic and melancholic soul of Totò, beyond the comedy and masks that made him immortal.
The adaptation by Tommaso Mattei constructs an intimate and poetic narrative, in which words and music intertwine to convey the complexity of an artist capable of making people laugh and cry with equal intensity.
