Alessandro Longo Piano Festival

Amantea celebrates the 80th anniversary of Alessandro Longo's death with the 2025 Concert Season – Alessandro Longo Piano Festival, a series of events that brings some of Italy's most talented pianists to the stage of the Cinema Teatro Sicoli.

The programme kicks off on Sunday 28 September with the Piano Duo formed by Maria Roberta Milano and Giuseppe Maiorca, who will perform music by Longo, Ravel and Bizet. This will be followed on Sunday 5 October by Lorenzo Bevacqua, with a recital dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin. On Friday 10 October, pianist Alessandro Marano will perform pieces by Beethoven and Liszt, while on Sunday 19 October it will be Paolo Manfredi's turn, with a programme ranging from Brahms to Mendelssohn. The season will close on Sunday 26 October with a recital by Maria Perrotta, featuring music by Liszt and Beethoven.
